Ephemeral Emerging Step by Step

This is a very easy pattern to tie. My favorite pattern is with slik thread, however also tie to body quill and of course, always with wings on CDC. It is very important that any part of the body take water to fly vertically work.

Silk to form the exhubia

Hook #16 #18 or #20

Body Fly Cinammon

Tie the thread of body and tie the silk

wind the thread forward to form the abbdomen. Conical!

Tie in the CDC for wing case and wings

Dub the torax

Form the torax with natural fox olive-gold

Loop the CDC and form the wing case



Up the wings and trim the silk of exhubia



Tie off and whip-finish the thread

I like to tie the body pattern silk.
